A young medium arrives in the village and is soon the object of much interest. So much so that she is welcomed into the household of an elderly relative of Dan s wife Elaine. Concerned, Dan needs to enlist help to discover if the medium is as genuine as she seems and his Aunt Polly decides to investigate. Clarrie is still trying to come to terms with her psychic gift and is trying to ignore it as much as possible. For her, having a mother able to converse with the dead should mean that she shouldn t have to... but whose is the face she keeps glimpsing in the old house she has been commissioned to paint? Sarah is staying with friends when tragedy strikes, leaving her and her host having to cope with both the aftermath and an apparently mentally unstable father-in-law, who offers Sarah a fascinating puzzle to unravel, if she can... Clarrie and Sarah are too involved in their own crises to realise the risks Polly is taking and Polly is so enjoying the thrill of immersing herself in old friendships and researching past romances that she is unaware of the dangerous path she may be treading... Through twisting and interwoven sub-plots, follow the Grey Family trying to stay balanced, sane (and safe).

Grey Masque of Death

The third in the Series and Mai Griffin is in form, this story is well crafted, for it keeps your attention from the first page and you find yourself wondering what is about to happen next.

Whilst these books are capable of standing alone they are better kept as a Series for each one is enjoyable and the mystery just plays out with each suceeding volume.

They are very worthwhile collecting.
